Chris Pavey | Mastering Engineer

In 2012 I mastered my first record - Since then I have been able to work with a truly amazing roster of artists and musicians. I’ve been able to work with a huge and diverse range of music, creating lasting friendships across the globe, for which I will always be grateful.

Located in a quiet village in rural Cambridgeshire UK, if i’m not in the studio mastering a record, its likely you will find me hiking through the fields up to my knees in mud!

My thoughts on mastering…

Having been involved in the many different parts of the creative process, I can always empathise with an artist about what a total emotional, and physical undertaking it can be to create and release music. So I believe mastering requires 100% open communication and a complete two way dialogue with the artist from the start- in my opinion there is no other way to master a record.

A lot is written on the web about mastering, some true, some false, some fact, some opinion. But if you ask me, there is no secret to mastering, just an unending dedication to perfection.
